Our local Canoe Clubs help their members feel welcomed and supported along their paddling journey, offering coaching and guidance no matter skill or ability.

"Upper Hamble Canoe Club (UHCC) is based on the River Hamble, out of a building called The Bark Store at Quayside, Botley, Hampshire. We offer recreational paddling for all ages and abilities, helping our members sample the many facets of the sport in a safe, coached environment, whilst having fun. The club paddles all year round and arranges many trips to other waters in order to experience all aspects of the sport, including placid water and canal-type paddles, kayak surfing, sea kayaking, white water river running, canoe camping and indoor pool sessions."

"Whatever kind of boat takes your fancy, we have it (Sunseekers excluded!) We are based at our boathouse just above Cobden Bridge on the River Itchen with instant access to the water via a slipway. Riverside Park is on the far bank. The atmosphere is totally informal and relaxed and complete beginners will find plenty of advice and assistance to get started."
